Inspired by the neighbourhood bistros of France, Aaron and Bronwyn Linley set out to create an atmosphere of comfort and originality that offers simple cooking at unimagined heights. We describe Aaron's food as "modern French" with some Asian and Italian influence. As he changes the menu daily, this enables him to incorporate seasonal ingredients and to concentrate on bringing the best possible food to the table. Bronwyn is the pastry chef at Bijou with an equally watchful eye to detail.

Menu changes daily. Here is a sample of what might be available:

  • Crostini of local Buffalo milk Ricotta with garlic confit, organic golden beet carpaccio and pickled wild leeks
  • Crispy braised Everspring Duck leg with Weth Farms shiitake mushrooms, organic pea shoots and Szechuan style hot bean sauce
  • Warm compote of local Rhubarb, poached in Niagara Riesling and citrus withcloudberry tea ice cream
